Roy Harper was, and is, one of the leading lights of folk music. He gained a cult following in the 60's and 70's with his uncompromising and adventurous music.
A tribute album, curated by Laurel Canyon's own Jonathan Wilson, is nearing completion.
Rice and Wilson have recorded the Harper tune "Goldfish Bowl" for the album.
Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes, Vetviver's Andy Cabic, the aforementioned Wilson, The Jayhawks' Gary Louris, and others have contributed Harper songs as well.
